MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – August 27, 2018 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Patrick Barrett

Colebrook Rive Road Small Bridge Bid recommendation
Contractor Base Bid Amount
David G. Roach & Sons, Inc. $678,401.00
Patrick moved to authorize Contractor David G. Roach & Sons, seconded by Steve. The motion carried unanimously
A discussion was had in regards to the shortfall of $100,000 for the project. Margaret stated that we would have to hold a Special Town Meeting to vote a borrowing authorization or to transfer from Free Cash.
New Department of Public Works, ad for hire, will run until September 10th. Employee will have a starting hourly wage of $19.50 with an increase of $1.00 after a 6 month probation period. The individual that is hired will be required to obtain licenses within a 4 month period if they currently do not have them.
The position of Police Sargent, Officers were asked by Ed to write why they would be the best candidate for the position. Ed’s recommendation is to offer the position to Officer Spiegler.
The Board of Selectmen accepted the resignation of Mark Orenstein from the Boardband Committee.
Board appointed Sandra Gilfillan Wilson as an Election Worker.
