MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING –  June 4, 2018 5:00 PM

Selectmen Present:   Steven DellaGiustina and Patrick Barrett

Also Present:      Wes Greene

                           Jeff LaCasse

Wes voiced concerns with the paving of Colebrook River Road. One, concern that he had was with the ditches not being repaired before back top. Second, concern was that with only skim coating the surface that the pavement would not hold through plowing season. Steve stated that the budget available between appropriation monies and Chapter 90 allowed them to only skim coat Colebrook River with the hopes that the road will hold for a few years. Chapter 90 monies will be used to top coat Burt Hill Road in the fall which will complete the Black top process. As far as plowing season it is the hopes that the DPW Staff will raise the blade when plowing.

Jeff asked where the bridge replacement on Colebrook River Road stands. Ed is waiting to hear back from Foresight Land Services. Letters will be sent to the abutters for “Right of entry”.

Ed would like authorization to move forward with the purchase of a preowned 10 wheeler. The purchase price is approximately $60K, monies will be expended from the funds issued to the town from the state. Steve moved to authorize the purchase, seconded by Pat. The motion carried unanimously

Meeting adjourned at 6:00 PM

Respectfully submitted,
