MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – December 9, 2019 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Patrick Barrett and Steven DellaGiustina
Also Present: Ed Deming Pat Storey Mira Munson Ted Locke and Cathy Parzych
Colebrook River Road bridge bid was discussed as to the language in the bid to determine who the bid could be awarded to. Ed recommended awarding the bid to Maxymillian. He felt the Maxymillian offers more knowledge and experience. Patrick made motion to accept Ed’s recommendation and award Maxymillian, seconded by Steve, unanimous.
The board discuss a quote received from Foresight Land Services to continue services through the project. – Preconstruction meetings $1,200
RFP responses $2,500
Submittal changes (order review) $6,500
Construction contract documents $500
Steve made motion to accept quote, seconded by Eric declined by Patrick.
Construction observation will be discussed further with the receipt of another vendor quote.
Town Meeting dates as follows: FY21 budgets are due February 10th
Budget Hearing Monday, April 27th
Annual Town Meeting Monday, May 11
Pat Storey asked what the roles are of the Finance Committee. Steve stated “another set of eyes on the same budget”. The Finance Committee is an advisory board.
Department of Public Works and Police Departments budget will be discussed on Monday, March 2 at 5:30 Fire Department’s budget, Monday March 9th at 5:30.
Any other departments that would like to meet with the board to discuss budgets, March 16th.
Board of Selectmen will meet every other week from Memorial Day until the budget season which starts sometime in early February. The board can at any time post a meeting if necessary.
