MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING –  April 22, 2019 5:00 PM

Selectmen Present:   Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Patrick Barrett                                                                                                                                      

Also Present:      Pat Storey

                           Jim Barry, The Greens Communities

The Board of Selectmen voted to adopt a “Buy Recycled Policy” Steve made a motion to approve, seconded by Patrick. The motion carried unanimously.

Foresight received comments back from the state engineers, which requested another submittal towards a final review. With the timing of the submittal and having to rebid the project Pat doesn’t believe that the project will start prior to the end of the fiscal year. Pat suggested the board releasing the $100,000 that was being held with the project to be allocated towards another project. It had been stated that the board already authorized Ed to use the funds.

Accepted the resignation of Jerry Manion from Zoning Boards of Appeals and Brenda Richter as the Assistant to the Town Clerk.

Jim Barry, Western Mass Regional Coordinator of the Green Communities Division Partnering with Massachusetts Cities and Towns gave a presentation on the “green Communities Designation and grant program.  The grant provides to qualifying communities to fund energy efficiency initiative, renewable energy, innovative projects.

The board discussed the Buildings and Grounds budget.
