Special Town Meeting Warrant 12/18/2023

THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS

HAMPDEN, SS.

To the Constable of the TOWN OF TOLLAND in the County of Hampden GREETING

            IN THE NAME OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of said Town, qualified to vote in elections to meet at the PUBLIC SAFETY COMPLEX in said TOWN OF TOLLAND on MONDAY, the eightieth (18) day of December at 7:00 o’clock in the afternoon, for the following purpose:

ARTICLE 1   To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from RETAINED

                     EARNINGS the sum of $26,000.00 to fund the purchase of a new trash

                     compactor or take any other action thereon

ARTICLE 2  To see if the town will vote to appropriate and transfer from RETAINED

          EARNINGS the sum of $295.31 to fund the following bill from previous fiscal year:

              WM Recycle America            Invoice Date 7/6/2023                   $295.31

                                                    (Ticket Dates 6/9/23 & 6/22/23)

ARTICLE 3  To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from FREE CASH

                     the sum of $30,000.00 to remove the BMS computer, Controllers, from

                      the Public Safety Complex and revert the system to a stand-alone

                      platform or take any other action thereon

And you are directed to serve this Warrant, by posting true and attested copies thereof at FOUR PUBLIC PLACES in said Town FOURTEEN (14) DAYS at least before the time of holding said meeting.

HEREOF FAIL NOT, and make due return of this Warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at or before the time of holding said meeting. Given under our hands this fourth (4) day of December the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-three.
