Open Burning Season Begins January 15

Open burning season is from January 15th to May 1st. The Tolland Volunteer Fire Department is continuing to employ an online permitting procedure for open burning. There is a link on the Fire Department's web page at https://www.tolland-ma.gov/fire-department/pages/open-burning-information or you can go directly to www.bcburnpermits.com to register for a burning permit. Once you open the link there are instructions on how to register. Permits will be issued daily from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and you must register in the system each day you want to burn. If burning has been shut down by the chief due to weather conditions, you will be unable to register for a permit. There is also a number listed to contact the Chief with any problems.
