Tropical Storm Warning - Storm Isaias

The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for the entire state of Massachusetts for Tuesday August 4th, 2020. The current track of the storm will take the eye to the West of Massachusetts during the day and evening on Tuesday.

This puts us on the windy side of the storm with expected gusts between 40-60 mph and rainfall of 1”-3” with the highest amounts occurring in the western parts of the state, lessening as you travel eastward. There is also a chance of flash flooding due to poor drainage in certain areas.

There is an isolated chance of a tornado during the peak of the storm which is expected at its current movement to impact us between 2pm and 2am with an expected peak during Tuesday evening. It is a quick moving storm and will impact the area for approximately 6 hours.

Please put away any loose objects, umbrellas, flags, patio furniture, etc. that may blow and cause damage. Stay away from any downed power lines and call 911 to report any dangers to life or property caused by downed wires.

Power crews are being relocated to react to storm damage as soon as it is possible. Shelter in place during the storm as downed limbs and trees are a possibility.

Thank you and stay safe,
