A Friendly Reminder about snow removal from the Highway Department

A Friendly Reminder from the Highway Department -

Snow has begun to accumulate, and soon there may be limited space to push it. The Highway Department is responsible for keeping the public ways in safe travel conditions. Please do not push snow across the road when clearing driveways. It can create ice and hard pack on the roadway. The travel lanes are also narrowed when snow is not pushed back properly. This in turn creates unsafe travel conditions in unsuspected areas along the local roadways.

I will be happy to discuss this should anyone need assistance or have any questions on where to push their snow.

Please refer to the Town Bylaw below regarding snow removal.

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year.

Thank you,
