CWMARS One Card, Many Libraries

Thanks to Tolland Public Library’s membership in the CW MARS Library Network, Tolland residents can use their local library card to check out and return materials at any one of our public member library locations across the state. “We want to be sure that patrons of all of CW MARS libraries are aware of the benefits that come with their library card,” said CW MARS Executive Director Jeanette Lundgren. The One Card, Many Libraries campaign aims to do just that. “Network membership gives residents access to materials far beyond what is available at their local libraries.”

In fact, the library’s network membership gives residents access to over eight million physical items (books, DVDs, audiobooks, etc.) and over 65,000 e-books, e-audiobooks, and e-magazines. CW MARS also recently joined a new eBook and audiobook sharing program which gives residents access to digital collections of six other library networks. Statewide, network membership helps give residents access to more than 53 million items. “We like to say that our CW MARS libraries are working across borders, both physical and digital, to make sure residents can get what they need,” said Lundgren. Our shared library catalog and information about accessing our resources can be found at http://catalog.cwmars.org

As part of the One Card, Many Libraries campaign, CW MARS libraries would also like to hear from residents about what’s important to them. Residents can share their comments at: https://cwmars.lovemasslibraries.com/
