ORDER of BUSINESS:

Call to Order at 5:20 PM

Attendance- Mira Munson Ted Locke, Cathy Parzych, Margaret McClellan, Pat Storey; also present Ed Deming Chief of Police

New Business

Review of minutes of Dec. 7, 2020- The minutes were unanimously approved

A discussion about the $3000+ Police Dept. budget over runs for F/Y 2021 was held with Chief Deming. He apologized for having this happen on his watch and presented the attached letter of explanation. He explained attached the new policies and procedures he has instituted to prevent a repetition of this. After much discussion it was agreed that the Chief and the Finance Committee will meet in mid September to review the implementation of the new policies and how the department is doing on their F/Y 2022 budget.

The Finance committee decided to recommend to the Selectmen that the Police department over run be covered by transferring money from the Town Hall Paving account, which had about $18,000 remaining in it.

The meeting was adjourned at 6 PM and the Finance Committee went to meet with the Selectmen.
