ORDER of BUSINESS:

Call to Order at 5:30 PM

Attendance – Cathy Parzych, Mira Munson, Pat Storey; Regrets – Ted Locke; Absent Margaret McCllelan

Approval of April 14, 2021 Minutes were unanimously approved

Old Business

Review of Police Department time keeping system – Chief Deming had been invited but a last minute family matter came up and he was unable to join us.

We reviewed the accountants report on the police patrol account and found that the account was 45% expended and the year 42% over. When the $5200 from the Chief’s patrol account is added to the account the allocation goes to $29,503.90 and is 37% expended. It appears that the account will be OK. We were unable to review the time keeping system the Chief is using.

Several questions came up relative to the Special Duty Accounts:

When an officer is on Special Duty in Tolland who issues his pay check?

If a Tolland officer is on special duty in another town who issues his pay check?

Who is responsible for paying workers comp?

What is the Special Duty billing rate?
What is the Special Duty Pay rate?
Does the administration fee go into the general fund?

New Business

Election of Officers – This item was deferred until more members are present.
