ORDER of BUSINESS:

Call to Order Meeting called to order at 9:14 am by Chairperson Ruth Buchanan

Attendance: Jean Armitage, Ruth Buchanan, Jennifer Clark, Mira Munson, Ann Skibski, David Spidal; Regrets: Patrick Storey

 

Review of Minutes – Minutes of 3/27/18 (postponed for weather from 3/13/18) accepted unanimously.

Outreach Worker: March report attached.

     Southern Hilltown COA’s Consortium: voted to change name to Southern Hilltown Senior Collaborative beginning FY19.  There is a possible new office location in Chester.  A resource directory is being prepared.  There is an interim Outreach Worker available.

     Highland Valley Elder Services: lease in Florence is expiring.  Board is looking at various properties for new location with better parking and space layout.

     Treasurer Report: attached, reviewed and accepted as presented.  No questions at budget hearing last night about request for $500 increase from town.

     Black Fly event, Sat., 5/12: catering arranged with Pete at Knox Trail Inn…keeping cost under $500.  Board will provide and prepare salad, rolls, desert, etc.  Vouchers for meal presented for distribution by board members and Outreach Worker as considered appropriate.

     Transportation: request from new town resident is pending.

     Birthday Card program has been taken over by Ann.

     Umbrella License from the Motions Picture Licensing Commission for showing movies, shared with Library, is being explored by Jessica Kelmelis.

     Meeting adjourned at 9:48am to prepare newsletter for mailing and first birthday luncheon.
