ORDER of BUSINESS:

Call to Order at 9:05 AM

Attendance - Jean Armitage, Ruth Buchanan, Jennifer Clark, , Ann Skibski, David Spidal,  Patrick Storey; Regrets - Mira Munson

Review of Minutes – The Dec. 8 minutes were reviewed and unanimously approved

Treasurers Report & Budget Update – The attached report was unanimously accepted.

     Discussion of Selectmen request to help fund Skating Rink; The Selectmen found funding in the Recreation budget so there was no need for COA funding.

Communications – several items were reviewed by Ruth.

Outreach Workers Report – Attached.

Upcoming Events

Concert on the Green - Aug. 21 Oom-pah band – The Oom-pha band did not file for funding. Jean had two other proposals and the COA elected to go the Tijuana Amigoes.

Old Business

Transportation – Review Program. Two rides this month

Birthday Cards – Status Update 19 this month. There was discussion of developing a new format for the card.

“Are you OK” program – No new input from the County Sherriff’s office.

New Business

COA Assistance in distributing the COVID Vaccine – Val sent us a letter stating that for several reasons the Vaccine couldn’t be distributed in Tolland. She is Coordinating with Granville on getting a Public Health Nurse for Tolland and asked for the COAs support on this. The COA decided to send a letter to the Selectmen supporting the position of Public Health Nurse.

Other – The COA reviewed the draft of a letter to be sent out via News & Notices and the COAs e-mail list updating folks on the vaccine as it relates to Tolland.
