ORDER of BUSINESS:
Call to Order by Chair Buchanan at 9:05
Attendance Jean Armitage, Ruth Buchanan, Dave Spidal, Mira Munson, Cynthia Ashley, Pat Storey, Jennifer Clark – Regrets Ann Skibski
Review of Minutes –Sept. 11, 2018 minutes were unanimously approved.
Outreach Worker report _ Attached
Treasurers Report & Budget Update - Finances are OK; no written report. Folks were given copies of the official reimbursement forms and asked to include the completed form with the receipts.

Old Business
Performance review – Lunches- We will continue through December then re-evaluate.
Performance Review – Feisty Fall Feast 31 attended and it went well. Probably the best entertainment we have had.
Performance Review – Flu Clinic – 18 attended; Jo Ann the Porchlight Nurse seemed satisfied with the attendance. Ruth will check to see if we can get the broader range vaccine that is recommended for Seniors.
Transportation – Review Program – Two rides requests and provided this month.
Birthday Cards – Will update the Status next month.
New Business
Air Conditioning – The Fire Department has agreed to kick in $3000. On Monday Oct 15 at 5:15 we will approach the Selectmen and ask them how to proceed.
Lock Box Program – Pat still hasn’t done anything. Cynthia sent Pat information on the boxes used in other towns.
Annual Report – Has been submitted. Needs to be resent to the Board.
Motion Picture license – Since the movies would be shown in the Community Room of the PSC and not a senior specific building the price went up to $590 and we decided not to pursue the program.
Ambulance service – This is becoming a problem. The Selectmen have asked the Fire Dept for a print out of response times for medical calls. Pat will get a copy of the report and distribute it so we can discuss at our next meeting.
Cultural Council – Grant requests are due - We will try and get Davis Bates for the Fall Feast and some Irish performers for the Black Fly Dinner.
Granville COA has a new Chair. Some of our Board members will meet with her.
Calendar – Jean distributed the Calendar (Attached) Pat said he will try and get it posted on News and Notices.
Yoga – We will be hiring the instructor Alexia, directly next year. Dave will check with Margaret to see what the process should be.
Foot Nurse – Has increased her fee by $5. A motion was made and unanimously passed to increase the reimbursement by the COA for Tolland residents to $15 from the current rate of $10.
Regional COA Meeting – Was held yesterday in Otis. Transportation and work abatement were the primary discussion points.
