Board of Assessors Meeting Minutes

The October Board of Assessors minutes were read and accepted.
Two motor vehicle abatement applications were reviewed and granted. All corresponding forms and letters were signed.
Three real estate abatement applications were reviewed and discussed. One was granted based on a classification error and corresponding papers signed. The vote for the remaining two applications was tabled until the December meeting.
Four personal property abatement applications were reviewed and granted: three for FY2019 and one for FY2018 per request of the tax collector. All corresponding papers were signed.
Jessica discussed with the Board a proposal for a tax agreement with CVE who intends on installing a solar array at 228 Clubhouse RD. The specific information is attached to these minutes but the total is based on a cost of $7.5 million and an increase in tax rates of 3% for an annual fee of $36453 for twenty years. The Board of Assessors agrees. Jessica will present the same information to the Board of Selectmen on Monday December 3rd.
Susan Moore recused herself from the meeting.
One real estate abatement application was reviewed and granted based on clerical errors. All corresponding forms were signed.
Two applications for Chapter 61B were reviewed and granted in totality. All corresponding forms and papers were signed. One applications is new and will required the placement of a lien. Jessica will have the lien ready for signature next week and will file with the Hampden County Registry of Deeds.
