Required Permits, Submissions/Approvals for Each Building Project Type

This table provides a list of required permits or approvals by type of project. Links are to the appropriate Department or Board web page where appropriate forms may be downloaded from the FORMS link on that page.

Note: The Project Control Sheet is essential to each project requirement approvals or permits. Approvals and permits must be obtained in the order listed on the Project Control sheet since the process is successive. The Project Control sheet should accompany all approval requests and applications and be signed by the appropriate department.

Examples: If the Tax Collector does not sign off that all property taxes have been paid,there is no reason for the Assessor to review the applications. If the Conservation Commission does not approve the site plan based on Wetlands impact, there is no reason for the Planning Board to review the Site Plan for approval.
