Planning Board Meeting

July 15, 2019

Present

James Deming, Chairman

Steve Strine, Mike Kaminski, Kathy Cowles

And Shawn Shaw via electronic medium.

 

Chairman Deming called meeting to order at 7:10pm

 

Alexandra Fox, of CVE North America, requested that the Planning Board accept a letter of company surety in place of the required decommissioning Bond for an active solar installation permit.

 

Chairman contacted Town Counsel who advised against. Mr. Fox was advised of the town counsels advice and the board’s decision to not accept a letter of company surety.

 

After further discussion with Chairman Deming, a letter of surety from Chase

Bank was accepted in place of the Bond.

 

Loretta Lyons, of 131 Warner st Belchertown Ma, requested a site plan approval to build a 10’x12’shed 

 on 22 Pinewood Drive, Tolland Ma.  Parcel 12644, lot 425

A permit is not required; however a site plan approval was approved by the board. A copy mailed to the applicant.

 

Matthew Miller, of 1266 East Otis Road representing Timber Trails, contacted Chairman Deming regarding the process of permitting a wind or solar installation on Friends of Dance New England dba Timber Trails property.

Chairman Deming answered his questions and referred him to the Town’s Solar Zoning Regulation.

 

Zach Sawicki of Clean Focus Renewable asked how long his solar permit would be valid. Permits are valid for 2 years from the time of issuance.

 

Since there was no further business, Chairman adjourned the Meeting at 7:55 pm
