Beginning Stenciling for Families at PSC 6/25/2022

Stenciling is an art form that allows all ages to be creative without being artistic.  It allows expression via color, spatial presentation, and enhancement of the basic stencil  It is fun and easy to master even for kids.  It can be utilized in a variety of ways on almost any material and for many applications.  It is also a relatively inexpensive way to express yourself.

In this workshop, Introduction and beginning Techniques for One Color Stencil, participants will be shown the basics, practice on scrap paper, and then will stencil greeting cards with envelopes. All necessary supplies will be provided. You will be dealing with paints so please dress accordingly. Suggested ages are anywhere from four to one hundred and four. Children thirteen and under are welcomed but must be accompanied by someone over sixteen.

The workshop will take place on Saturday June 25th from 1:00-2:00 pm at the Public Safety Complex. Please register in advance by calling the Library at 413-258-4201. Leave a message with your name and number. This way we can be sure to have plenty of supplies.

Come join in the fun. This is a great family project to learn and then continue at home.
