Ballot Questions for May 23, 2023 Town Election

There will be seven questions on the ballot at this year's Town Election on May 23, 11am-6pm, at the Public Safety Complex. Please be sure to cast your vote.

Question One: Shall the Town of Tolland be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, $250,000 for the purpose of purchasing equipment and the installation for the 911 communications upgrade.

Question Two: Shall the Town of Tolland be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, $375,000 for the purpose of purchasing a Dump Truck.

Question Three: Shall the Town of Tolland be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, $80,000 for the purpose of purchasing Cruiser.

Question Four: To see if the town will vote to change the position of Town Clerk from an elected position to an appointed under M.G.L. Chapter 41, Section 1B.

Question Five: To see if the town will vote to change the position of the Treasurer and make said position an appointed position under M.G.L. Chapter 41, Section 1B.

Question Six: To see if the town will vote to change the position of the Tax Collector and make said position an appointed position under M.G.L. Chapter 41, Section 1B.

Question Seven: To see if the town will vote to offer post-employment health insurance benefits under M.G.L. Chapter 32 & 32B for vested employees.
