Finance Committee Minutes
February 25, 2008
The meeting was called to order at 6:15 P.M. by the Chair, Ralph Ledger. In attendance were Eric Munson, Jr., Jim Deming, Steve Della Guistina, Ralph Ledger, Margaret McClellan, Mira Munson and Ted Locke.
Budgets were reviewed and questions developed.
School Budget - not yet final, 9.8% higher than last year.
Public Works – request a detailed plan of each request be given to Finance Committee. Tech request deducted and put in Tech budget – had question about tech items. Wanted to know why $5,000, what did we buy with last $5,000? It should have taken only one time to replace what was missing … dropped to $3,000.
Fire Dept. – question about the defibrillator, 8 helmets in two years – who is he adding?
Police Dept. Move $100 in computer repair to tech. Budget. , Firearms training – now $600- drop Eric and deduct $300. Request for extendo bed – need explanation. Reduce office supplies and take out $1500 for new garage door.
Re-val – leave request in
Town Clerk $150 per year for elections – registrars.
