About Us: The Town Treasurer is an elected position and is responsible for
l Receipt and disbursement of Town finances including Massachusetts Chapter money and State and Federal Grants
l Preparing payment Warrants for Selectmen approval
l Paying all bills
l Managing the Town Payroll
l Recording and reconciling Town financial transactions (General Ledger)
l Preparing monthly statements for each Department showing total appropriations, expenditures and receipts.
l Assisting in analysis and monitoring of the Town’s operating budget
l Is a member of the Finance Advisory Committee
