MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD
Meeting of 7/16/2007
Regular Meeting opened by Chairman Joyce at 7:00.
Minutes of the Meeting of 6/18/2007 were approved as written.
Frank Fazi requested Site Plan Approval for a pre-fabricated greenhouse to be located at 32 Woodchuck Hollow Road (Map 115, Lot 90).
The size of the green house is 12.5’ x 8.5 feet and will be located 120 feet from the front line, 25 feet from the rear and left side lines and 35 feet from the right side line.
Since all setbacks will be meet, the Site Plan was approved unanimously.
Anthony Coding left a request for the addition of a bathroom onto his existing house on Beetle Road. Since his house is currently a conforming structure on a non-conforming lot, the Planning Board could not approve the application, but will refer it to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Verizon Cell Tower Modification: The May 14th granting by the Board of Selectmen, permission to Verizon to mount a temporary microwave dish on their existing cell tower, was discussed. This action constitutes a Modification of the existing cell tower; and according to Tolland’s Zoning Bylaws, this permission can only be granted by the Planning Board. The Planning Board is concerned that this action has invalidated the Cell Tower portion of the Zoning Bylaw. James Joyce will discuss this problem with the Board of Selectmen to arrive at corrective action.
