Plumbing Requirements
TOWN OF TOLLAND, MA
BUILDING DEPARTMENT
PLUMBING INFORMATION, PERMIT REQUIREMENTS & Fees
Process For Compliance with MASSACHUSETTS STATE PLUMBING CODE
1. Complete Application for Permit to Perform Plumbing Work.
2. Submit Completed Application to Town of Tolland Plumbing Inspector
2. Plumbing Permit issued by Plumbing Inspector
3. Installation of plumbing by a plumber licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
4. Schedule and pass therequired inspections (listed below) by a Tolland Plumbing Inspector
a. Underground (if necessary)
b. Rough Inspection (no walls closed in)
c. Finish.
Note: The Plumber must be present for all inspections.
FEES
l Plumbing Permits are for one year duration, Permits are renewable at $20.00
l New Hous or Structuree: 3 Inspections (underground, rough, final) $105.00
l Gas or Water Heater Replacement $ 50.00
l Liquid Propane Gas Piping Inside of House or from Pressure Regulator $ 50..00 minimum
· l Each additional inspection $ 50.00
· l Remodeling - per inspection $ 50.00
PAYMENT
Checks should be made payable to TOWN OF TOLLAND and mailed with the Plumbing or
Gas Permit Application to:

REQUESTS FOR INSPECTIONS
Prompt attention will be given based upon your prompt notification of work being done, The Plumbing Permit must be in the Plumbing Inspector’s possession before scheduling inspection with any of the following Tolland Plumbing Inspectors:
