If you are a non-profit organization in Tolland or it's bordering towns (Granville, Sandisfield
and Otis) and want to participate in and benefit from the 10th Annual Black Fly Day to be
held on June 4, 2005 in Tolland, MA...
THEN READ THIS:
The Black Fly Day Committee is now accepting applications, please provide:
1) The name and some background information on your organization.
2) Name, address, phone number and if possible a email address of a contact person.
3) How you have benefited from funds received in the past (if applicable).
4) Plans for use of funds received.
Participation from chosen organizations is required. You will be expected to provide members
to attend and participate in monthly meetings work on and/or chair organizational committees,
be available prior to event for set up and also the day of event. Applications must
be received by Friday, Feb. 25th. Decisions will be made, confirmations sent out which will
include the first meeting date. Expect the first meeting to be the first week of March. It is
a good idea to have as many people as possible at that first meeting, especially if your organization
and/or you have new members that haven’t participated in the past. We will be
provide an overview of the event, along with recommendations for the coming year.

Black Fly Day is “Fun for Funds” and profits are distributed to the participating non-profit organizations.
In 2004 the recipients were the Granville-Tolland Citizens Scholarship Committee,
Granville-Tolland Lions Club, Sandisfield Historical Society.
