GRANVILLE - Barbara J. (Hull) Roberts, 75, of 275 South Lane, died Sunday at home surrounded by her loving family. Born & educated in Westfield, Barbara was a 1947 graduate of Westfield High School. She along with her husband Edward was co-partner of Roberts Hillside Orchard in Granville. Barbara had been a resident here for over 56 years, and was a former employee of the Westfield Telephone Office. She was a member of the Granville Federated Church, sang in the church choir, taught Sunday School, and was a ladies aide with church suppers. Barbara was a volunteer at the Granville Library and Schools, baked pies for the Granville Harvest Fair, was an avid knitter and gardener, loved music and cooking, and will always be remembered for her gift of hospitality to all. She was social director of the
Buccaneer at Myrtle Beach. Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward C. Roberts; two sons, Edward C. Roberts, Jr. and his wife Karen of Southwick, Douglas Roberts and his wife Nancy of Granville; three daughters, Christine Jette and her husband William of Suffield, CT, Natalie Speicher and her husband Charles of Manahawkin, NJ, and Valerie Roberts-Toler and her husband Printice of Mansfield Center, CT; a brother, Benjamin Hull, Jr. of Ossipee, NH; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Granville Federated Church, 16 Granby Rd., Granville. Burial will follow in Silver Street Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick.
